Last match of the season

An absolutely amazing display from our U15s boys in their first win of the season!
After losing the toss and being put into bat we got off to the best start we could have wished for with the openers Simeon and Shiryar, making a fantastic partnership of around 90. Simeon retired at 50 and by 10 overs we were on 113 for 0. Shiryar then followed with a brilliant acceleration to get to his 52 retired! From here on in we did start to lose several wickets but Kishore chipped in with a brilliant 22 before being run out by a very good throw. In the end we were on 172 for 6 (our highest total by far this season).
It looked like it was going to be a walk over as parents from the other team had said they weren’t a batting side but it was quite a shock when, in the first 9 or 10 overs they kept to the run rate and it looked as if we were on for a tough game. However after some crucial wickets were taken from both Kishore and Shiryar we got into their lower order and we took them from 99 for 4 to 101 all out!

Batting: Simeon 50 retired; Shiryar 52 retired; Kishore 22 Charan 17.
Bowling: Shiryar 4 wickets in 2.4 overs; Kishore 2 wickets in 3 overs; Charan 1 wicket in 3 overs.
