Reading under 13's recorded a comfortable win against Peppard Stoke Row CC in the Berkshire cup competition and qualified for the Quarter final stage.
Winning the toss Reading captain Gajuraan elected to bat and posted an impressive 154-2 in their allotted 20 overs. Arav 30 (Retired), Ajmal 31 (Retired), Gaaj 32(Retired), Ashwyn 23 and Mayank (playing his first match for Reading u13) 12 Not out being the highlights.
Chasing the Reading total Peppard batsman found it really difficult to get going against an accurate Reading bowling attack. Arav finished with impressive figures of 4-8 being the highlight, along with Jibran and Uzaid who got 2 and a wicket apiece. Jeevan playing the first match for Reading u13s impressed with his bowling, Raheel and Zain bowled with excellent accuracy and pace. Henry kept wickets very well which included a stumped dismissal and some excellent collects down the leg side off our fast bowlers.
All in all an excellent evening of cricket for the boys.
