Reading u13s through to West Zone Semi Final

Reading won the toss and elected to bat first on beautifully prepared pitch (Many thanks to Mel & Abdul). After losing two quick wickets Ajmal and Gaajuraan steadied the ship with 31 retired not out respectively. Zain, Armaan, Paarth all added quick runs for Reading to end their innings on 149 for 6 off their 20 overs.

In response Sonning managed 136 all out in 19.4 overs with Sonning’s Will Hibberdiene 31 not out, extras were the highest scorer for them with 36 (Inconsistent umpiring is becoming more and more of an issue in cup matches). Despite of this we still managed to beat them relatively comfortably without any complaints ;-).

Pick of the bowlers were Zain and Salmaan both bowled their 3 overs accurately without conceding many runs. Special mention and thanks to Arshdeep Singh (u11) for accepting and attending the match at short notice, and also for bowling 3 accurate overs.
Reading will be facing Shinfield CC u13s in the semifinal.
